So I ran into a merchant selling only legendary items, and I would like to know if this was a random encounter, or if I just got REALLY lucky, with doru, jade axes, earthstone blade, and some more behind the slat shield tab
This game's addictive as hell but what are you supposed to do about poison? It can't be shielded, it can't be dodged, like surviving enemies stockpiling a million poison stacks on you and killing you instantly on your next turn is ENTIRELY dependent on you either getting a Lord Death of Murder Mountain weapon to 1-shot them before they can move or just having 6 slots open for curatives that you may or may not even be able to find/replenish. Item checks make sense in a dungeon crawler but like the first floor after the tutorial boss? Are you sure? No one else seems to have a problem with it but so many decent runs are halted for me because I didn't lopside my bag with 1 half actually useful gear and 1 half antidotes.
Only real things to do about poison in this version (Don't know about the kickstarter version cus I wasn't fortunate enough to be able to spend the money. xD) is basically either keep a cleansing potion on you and use it only when the poison has built up to a lethal level, use the item that removes one poison per hit, or try to out heal the damage (which obviously only goes so far.)
You have a couple of choices: 1. Kill them fast before they can stack a lot of poison on you. You don't need to be able to 1 shot them. They only poison once every other turn at minimum
2. Get a couple of Cleansing Rags attached to a weapon so you can remove poison each attack, and combine that with some heals/regen through either a beginner wand or from heart gemstone or vampirism
Generally the main goal is just... get rid of the poison dealers first. The longer they live, the more poison will stack on you. All other damage is manageable.
didn't record the run (screenshots and stuff) but I had a solid bow-less arrow/sheild spirit run. Hercule + belt of knives + the gemstone that gives spikes are good. granted I lost to floor 18 Grandmaster but it was just very novel.
I never hate the Burn debuff so much before more than Poison, But when Burn debuff can stack up over 1000+ dmg while DEF count only cap at 999, a dragged fight with this boss is just not winnable at all, I just hope the DEV would capped the DEBUFF or increase the DEF count or even reduce this particular boss HP, Killing the summons first the furthest I can get the HP drop to 19K while targetted the boss only able to go 6K
Unfortunately this is just a case where you have a bad enemy matchup for your build. Fire isn't necessarily a big deal, but you weren't killing the summoned monsters fast enough so they just started multiplying and stacking that burn damage on you. These fights where something is summoning other monsters basically boils down to: Can you eliminate the summons quickly enough to give you a turn to deal damage to the summoner? If not, you're in for an uphill battle.
No idea, It may be an embedding issue or file type issue, I con't post images either. Do you get an error message that says "Character limit reached" or something?
This build is actually really good. I just started endless with it. The spice makes it so that all consumables have plus three rage, so in the spot where the green herb is, to the left of the duct tape, I would use the herb their, gain a full 25 HP from the seasoning and then I would use log to replenish the herbs. Since I get very high levels of rage, I have lots of shivs and hatchets that become very powerful. The purifying candle makes this build spike proof. I am hoping to get a cauldron since the log can recharge it. I am keeping the coal because I might get something helpful to recharge, maybe a rouges mask. The necklace next to it is the minus five HP and destroy a curse item. I should probably organize differently so I have space to destroy a big curse. the necklace at the bottom right has “when a weapon kills an enemy add six rage, [all of my kills are with a weapon,] does one damage to self each turn [I heal seventy five HP per turn unless I have to destroy a curse. Find someone who cares.]” tea, cleansing potion, and doge potion are for safety. I do not want to die to poison, and this build only works if I am not one shotted. I might die to sables since they do so much damage and multi attack. I want cauldron because it would add protection from these things through shield potions. I have also been hoping for a philosophers stone. I could use that to destroy worthless potions if I were to get the cauldron. I am surprised by how good this build is. To be clear, this is not a meme. It is destructive. When I killed king, I 62 rage. I really want to get a cauldron.
Every time I go for a mana build my game lags. Any suggestions? It doesn't happen for anything else but if I have like 3 or more manastones in my inventory everthing just starts lagging.
I've found that a lot of manastones on their own don't cause much lag, but when you have adjacent items that utilize the mana stones in some way (powering them up, requiring them, etc) then the calculations get insane and that's when lag happens a lot. For example, if you have like 10 manastones and a wand, it's not that bad. 10 manastones a wand and a shield ring that uses mana, and now it's churning.
archer is good with mouse wood not nearly good as cleavers tho and im using a shield instead of a bow so mouse wood will be replaced with stop watch mouse wood doesn't work with shield spirit
I was constantly having those things thrown at me throughout the run. The golden whetstone was the only thing I needed to farm, but honestly, with the assassin's blade hitting 7 times, I didn't need anywhere near as many as I used.
kind of - just click on a square around it and pass over it (i.e. come back to it later)... there is sadly no way to keep any in-game event present after you leave it...
Seen it happen. When you unlock a door, but go to another locked door, it remembers the past direction to back away from the locked door. Basically the programming doesn't store the current location, instead using another value.
Alas, my cheesy letter-buffed BIGG SORDD didn't last forever. Too bad I didn't get any good armor from trading in Legendaries, I might have permanently broken the game.
Pretty good relic, but it's not conductive fore some reason. More efficient mana per turn than wizard's cap; 3m+2m from spellbook/4m from cap.
Windmill: A
Again, more effective than crimson energy, which needs 3 spaces when placed in a corner and windmill only two.
Tusk: B
Worse than glass bottle most of the time.
Stopwatch: A
Belt of knives is better for cleavers, but stopwatch is better for anything else really.
Spicy Ginger: B
Consumables are quite common, but outclassed by belt of knives which adds 3 damage if you have a shiv or a hatchet.
Spice: B
Pretty good relic for water flasks or old log. Synergies with seasonings.
Shield Spirit: S
Allows you to use assassin's dagger or cleavers with only one energy, Synergies with hercule's pavise.
Sandwich: B
Triples the effect of seasonings.
Ore: D
Outclassed by almost every relic, even the niche ones like spicy ginger because consumables are easier to find than gems and it's diagonal as well.
Mouse Wood: S
Makes arrows one shot everything.
Hourglass: C
Very niche. Pairs well with beserker's club or one of the ethereal weapons.
Glass Bottle: A
Free extra damage! Makes shield spirit or soldier's buckler useless.
Fluffy Cotton: A
Wands provide an easy way to refill one mana per turn. The mana bonus originates from the fluffy cotton, not the wand.
Coral: A
Scales more with extra energy.
Conductor: B
Good with doru/pick axe.
Cleansing Flame: S
A must-have for cleavers.
Bombstone: C
Its only use is for ethereal weapons. Good with etheral blade and makes it deal 72 damage per energy. It appear i underestimated it for arrows, so now it's a c.
Barbell: A
Similar to mouse wood but with a weaker effect.
Belt of knives: S
Makes shivs or hatchets give +3 damage to adjacent weapons.
very nice game, unlucky i cant win floor 16 with my build :( (i load the game for this screenshot, i had 209 hp) poison is the only thing that can kill you...
This is just the demo, the full game will release on Steam in April of next year, though there's a lot of Alpha/Beta testing until then (from what I can tell only Kickstarter Backers can access Alpha, but it'll be released to the public on Beta launch).

omg slats shield isn't on sale so this is a bad shop

Repxecutioner isn't gaining spikes.
Edit: I was using teddy bear sword.
why cant i post images

wow very cool and thanks for explanation
Every time I go for a mana build my game lags. Any suggestions? It doesn't happen for anything else but if I have like 3 or more manastones in my inventory everthing just starts lagging.
That's due to the flood flow algorithm used by Unity WebGL, and is unfortunately bound to happen. It's not apparent in the Steam release, though.
Thanks for the info. Only ten more months then
I've found that a lot of manastones on their own don't cause much lag, but when you have adjacent items that utilize the mana stones in some way (powering them up, requiring them, etc) then the calculations get insane and that's when lag happens a lot.

that is very helpful info thanks
This Legendary Blade Destroyed Enemies in 1 Hit!
The archery runs in this game are so fun to play
agreed. only problem is that you don't have enough space for defense if you want to deal a lot of dmg.
yesssssssssssss this is my best run in endless mode
how is floor 5 endless mode?
i recommend not going archer, its not bad its just hard
archer is good with mouse wood not nearly good as cleavers tho and im using a shield instead of a bow so mouse wood will be replaced with stop watch mouse wood doesn't work with shield spirit
(also floor 5 endless is a joke)Is there any reason to play past floor 1000? I heard there was a hidden boss, but didn't seem to get them.
smh must be a bug i beat that boss alot of times
(it's a joke how did you actually did it impressive)how do you get such op loot? ive only got a hercule pavise ONCE and ive been playing for a month or two! is it just accumulating luck?
I was constantly having those things thrown at me throughout the run. The golden whetstone was the only thing I needed to farm, but honestly, with the assassin's blade hitting 7 times, I didn't need anywhere near as many as I used.
F died to poison
Just a suggestion, making sure displaced items don't end up behind the item limit prompt.
can you make it so that if you leave a merchant, healer, or mystery event without buying anything it dosen't disappear
kind of - just click on a square around it and pass over it (i.e. come back to it later)... there is sadly no way to keep any in-game event present after you leave it...
This will be changed in a future update!
yess ive been wanting this so much thanks!
Almost perfect game. But i managed to lock myself inside a locked room and cant get out :p
what.
Yeah its a bug :)
Same. But I'm playing on a mobile browser.
Seen it happen. When you unlock a door, but go to another locked door, it remembers the past direction to back away from the locked door. Basically the programming doesn't store the current location, instead using another value.
This game is amazing. I have never seen a game as original and fun as this.
Just some pretty round numbers i guess. 9 Energy, 5 hits per 1. Also max block in 3 hit's central buckler has 10 haste (irrelevant coz of armor).
Ooooh nice, i had 2 ninja armors last run :D
Can Key Sword Beat The Final Boss?
quá hay
Hey! You can start from Matthew by pressing "M"! Hope you will consider rating the game again!

Hy vọng bạn sẽ đánh giá trò chơi một lần nữa :)
i was trying to do an archery run without a bow and it some how shifted to cleaver run (left facing jack cleaver has +1 rage and 25% bonus damage)
how can you do an archery run without a bow?
shield spirit
yeah i get it now thanks
Floor 300
7 energy in first turn
First energy is ~151k dmg (Builds ~140 rage per energy)
Second energy probably does 400k
No money so no health increase, but who cares when you two-shot King every time
Alas, my cheesy letter-buffed BIGG SORDD didn't last forever. Too bad I didn't get any good armor from trading in Legendaries, I might have permanently broken the game.
God, I hate when this happens... Do i go Rapier or Longbow?
longbow
