This has now become my most played browser game, somehow topping both Minesweeper and Enchanted Cave 2. I genuinely don't think a roguelike can get better than this. Noita might have a bit more interesting gameplay, but it also makes me want to cry so that docks some points.
Attempting to beat the final boss twice in a single run has become my nemesis, so much so that I'm going to buy the Steam version just to get the necessary items. (on the web build expert bow + electric arrows + +2 damage/cast accessory + stopwatch + belt of knives gets you to Magma Core floor 2, but the math simply doesn't work out)
... Is this what the kids these days call paying to win? (´▽`) lol
fun but my weapon ended up destroying itself after being invincible. i think its because i added the bomb powerup next to it. you need to make ui stuff super clear when it comes to this. now it just became frustrating.
Yes, that goes on forever. Turning off combat animation is a must for this.
Most of the stuff is not needed. But I did include poison removal and a hasted buckler against spikes. Damage would ramp up with the rage buff on the dagger, but that dagger scales up all by itself as well. And having the sword activate by the wings to reduce cost of the dagger from 2 to 1 helps speed up too.

When loading a save on a floor that has the gold, experience flowers, or healing spots that disappear in a set number of turns, the numbers do not appear.
Additionally, the Swamp Buckler, which states that it provides block equal to your current poison, instead deals damage to the target equal to your current poison.
not sure where else to put this. i have the game on steam and was playing in the beta branch and ran into what i assume is a bug playing as pouchette if i encounter the armoured mouse that splits into three something happens around turn 6 or 7 that causes my attacks with pets to start adding armour to the enemies rather than damaging them. there is no icon for a buff that would be causing this
yes it has been. Thank you! I did also find that if you do a classic mathew run with pouchette and tell him you want to be an archer you get 3 random items rather than an archery kit which is still happening.

Seems like the Mac build is still broken. Adding an .app at the end of the mac folder makes it launchable, but it says that it’s damaged after a short while. Here is the error message which I get in the Mac Console maybe it helps. Seems like a file is missing.

I beat the Demo Version infinity wave. The build is final and I can survive every wave. Now I am at Stock 312. I have 20xrage & 15xhaste. I keep the money to increase my max health, otherwhise i can replace the money to another circle to obtain 21 turns in first round.
Resulting I have 19turns in first round dealing 1230630 damage over all, which I can beat any enemy.Yes 1,2Mill damage!!!!
After the 19 turns, i have 999 Armor too, unfortunatly the game dont allow me to exceed the 999 Armor, but its not necessary.
After a couple of tries this is my ultimativ build.
Can you increase the maximum number of saved games? I feel like 3 is too limiting, and it isn't stated anywhere that 3 is the limit, so I lost one of my best runs because of this. I like to keep saves at floor 9, so I can continue in endless with any build if I feel like it.
Also, the "continue" menu screen can be revamped to allow for more saves without as much scrolling - there is currently too much wasted space. I think a 3x2 grid will look and feel much better - each tile in the grid would have a thumbnail (of the inventory), character and game mode above, floor and level below. Scrollbar on the side if there are more than 6 saves.
Maybe have a "maximum number of saves" slider in the settings, or just have it at infinite. People can just manually delete the saves they don't need or use the "delete save on death" option for a more roguelike experience.
I ended up dying with this on floor 13, it was a good run and my weapon ended up dealing 264 damage per hit. it was an ethereal staff, wich replaced itself with an ethereal blade upon use. The ethereal blade would also create an ethereal staff when destroyed. This caused the negative effects of the bombstone and hourglass to be ignored, giving me a 800 percent multiplier whith barely any drawbacks.
Good day - been really enjoying backpack hero since I saw it on ManyATrueNerd - almost 120 hours of play time :) I have run into a potential bug on v0.31.4b - if you have the barbell and the lizard king sword, the energy reduction from LKS is undone at the start of each turn, even though it says "reduces by one this combat".
e.g. I have the jagged sword, it costs 2. I use LKS (at a cost of 3), jagged sword now costs 1. End turn, jagged sword is back to 2.
yeah, I keep commenting/replying to people on their posts complaining about ads and redirect them to here or the steam page! i hope it gets resolved permanently

found a bug with the map lol
I got soft locked, i went to open a door after a boss, i did not have a key, and it pushed my to the outher side of the door, and i can not decend.
In the demo version there are locked doors, weren't there?
I only encountered locked chests in the current version. And you have to drag your key from the backback onto the chest there.
There is even a key sword. But is only usable once and gets destroyed if you open a chest with it.

Additionally, the Swamp Buckler, which states that it provides block equal to your current poison, instead deals damage to the target equal to your current poison.
Its really easy to go far if you use no armor and a bunch of hatchets with a shield that has the thorns equipment.

Dude, rage on a hourglass-nerfed berserker club is cracked! All you need is belt of knives and a weapon that can hit all and your set.

hey forgive me if im wrong but, wouldnt just 2 king cleavers do the same thing? it seems like they both would make a cascade of never ending cleavers
