Backpack Hero Archery Update!


Archery is now better than ever!

Bug-Fixes:

  • Moved the "reorganize item" to the start of the enemy turn - so you have time to think about item
  • Fixed a glitch with modification animations
  • Added a protection if the player moves off of the grid
  • Fixed a glitch where save games didn't record how many curses the player had
  • Fixed several glitches relating to the backpack display when reorganizing, particularly at the end of combat
  • Fixed an issue where items could change color while reorganizing 
  • Fixed glitches related to the start of combat. You should no longer be able to use items before combat begins and it should prevent soft-locks
  • Slime-swords and other special reward items now appear after boss battles
  • Fixed a glitch where relics could jitter slightly when viewing the map


    Changes:

    • Archery has been redesigned - there are several new bows and arrows
    • Quivers and elven sword are removed for now, but something will replace them
    • More items are offered - but you can only take up to three after each combat
    • Passive items are now used from the upper-left to the lower-right in order
    • Added two new enemies - The sable and the cultist
    • Added in several new structure items
    • Added in a glitched potion
    • Ninja suit now does 2 poison to all enemies each turn
    • Wizard hat now generates 4 mana
    • Wizard staff now damages all enemies
    • New item art for the Lil' Buckler and other items including starter items
    • Archangel armor now generates 2 haste per turn
    • Changed vampiric axe and blades
    • Added a sound effect when heavy items fall
    • Added a "dodge" status effect
    • Stores now have more organized inventories
    • The cauldron now creates cleansing bombs, cleansing potions, liquid luck, dodge potions, and liquid armor. It does not create drinks
    • The PickAxe now generates random gems on kill (non-summon). Buffed. Legendary rarity.
    • Projectiles do not take damage from spikes
    • Empty cups are now projectiles
    • Darts are now projectiles
    • Bats buffed
    • Changed the sprite for enemies that intend to pass on their turn
    • Improved the outline of the anvil on the forge event
    • Made it so you can change your destination while moving, if you change your mind
    • Updates to Unity version and codebase

    I love this game, i beat it for the first time yesterday and i feel so accomplished, thank you so much Jas for making such a great game, definitely going to donate to the kick starter, because this deserves to become a full game.
