Very boring but very effective. Dark whetstone -> spam wand -> 0 attack enemies. Stopwatch (damage up per use) might have sent endless to the moon, but I don't have the patience to click that many times. Love the build diversity in this game.

I guess archer really is as good as people say it is, just no-hit the floor 9 boss

Phenomenal game!

I found a strange bug / interaction with the pickaxe: If you have vampirism and regular damage on the weapon and kill an enemy with the vampirism (dmg activates first) then it gives you two gems.

Shieldless tanky build worked out pretty well for a while ... but then I ran into these nasty lizards and couldn't keep up with all the damage from the burn and curses. Definitely looking forward to the final game!

And here is a summary of how I finally beat the game a few tries later.

I really hope they overhaul the way curses are handled in the game. It's a creative idea, but either there needs to be a limit to how many you can get in a single combat or they need to change it so enemies don't spam curses every turn.

I got the same error when I pasted the image with Ctrl+V, but was able to post after saving the image to my computer and then clicking the "Add image" button at the right side below the text entry box.

I think Ninja Armor has a bug that adds armor. The "when your turn ends" effect also increases each turn, so that might be related? In just a few turns I was hitting 999 armor every fight.

I think Ninja Armor is bugged when paired with Archangel Armor. I've noticed that, too.

I had the same issue in my run. Won the game for the first time because of it though!

would it be possible to maybe nerf the fire level of the dungeon? I always die on the 1st and 2nd fight once I make it there. Great game btw!

I usually get the "Save failed" every time I try and save. I'm 90% sure that the reason is that after i die and press "Retry" the game dosent have Game saves programmed in. Probably an easy fix. If u want to save a game tho you have to refresh the page and press start game which creates a new game and makes u able to save the game.

We are trying to get an update out this week and we are hoping it will fix this problem!

I died on floor 16 but it was fun to play this archer. Maybe more energy should be better with that relic.

Update: It happened a second time. This time there were purple squares emitting from the center of the screen.
I seem to have had some kind of save corruption when refreshing the page. I can't click on anything, and it started playing different music than the area I was in previously.
Has happened a few times. Seems to happen after several saves and loads.  

Great game though! Looking forward to it! Hope the saving gets improved.

This build carried me pretty far, but it couldn't keep up with rising enemy HP levels of the enemies on magma core floor 16, not enough defensive power to block hits past the first round

the image isn't complete but I had 1 hp at the final boss, obviously did not survive.

the boss battle with the speaker in the enchant swamp could lead to an infinite fight if she summons 3 cultists cause the cults will debuff you to the point you can't do anything, and they won't directly attack you.

You can click Scratch at the top left to do 3 damage at the cost of one energy. This attack ignores weakness so you can slowly whittle the boss down.

This was a fun run that ended too early...

Ninja Armor is a little buggy with everything tbh. I've had it negate its own dodge as well as other buffs. 

The Tooth Necklace specifically gives me trouble where neither item's buff will activate

Apparently it works on mobile! Could do with some tweaks, but would love to see official support 

All UI works, but some things end up in unexpected places, and several things are unreadable.

I call this the Thorny Hydra build. It's interesting that you can strategically build your inventory to allow multiple helmets full bonus, but leveling up eventually kills it. (Made up here by the breastplate)

So what if I'm wearing five helmets, that's perfectly normal, right?

fyi haste is bugged with the ninja armor, and instead of removing your leftover armor multiplies it at the end of the turn

don't know if it was only on me but i think there's a problem on the save system since everytime i die i cant save my game and when i refresh the page it will load to my save file before i got died, also it seems like tutorial will start once you died after your playthrough on the save failed

All my saves are failing for some reason, the first time i played it worked fine

Absolutely love this game, best run I've had so far! Archery is fun and really makes you do your best to make everything work

Somehow not a single book appeared the entire run, wherether fights, chests or shops, which is pretty unbelievable. Got a +4 rage wand and +4 blocks on mirror shield, a rag that was meant to be paired with necronomicon, and 2 shivs to utilize belt of knives. I wonder if I should have ditched the armor for more mana or not.

The later the game goes, the less useful the shop seems to be. Wondering whether a reroll mechanic would be a good idea or not.

So fun, I don't think you can get past floor 16 in endless, got a 4k+ boss at floor 15, still, it's endless, so I don't mind. Fun game, looking forward to it.

You definitely can, but second magma core is a big build test, specially if you find some snakes or a lot of triple gecko fights. Actually every next magma core is an actual challenge while first two areas are pretty weak in comparison, so when you pass another magma core you can just look for new upgrades to your setup for 6 more floors:)

The famous two arrow build I just managed to do yesterday;) Pretty effective so far, but I think next magma core will be the end without some massive luck in drops:)


7 Energy is real fun. I could deal with spikes with the mirror shield. 1 dodge for emergencies, and I was just struggling for better cleavers. I'm gonna spam bow builds now ^-^

Made it to level 16. Probably not gonna get any farther this run. Built my entire run around the Ring of Doom (+2 Dmg to adjacent/diagonal for 1 mana) and Hatchets. Worked really well, though now the damage numbers needed are scaling faster than I can keep up. Not to mention that Magma Core hates block. =P

Is there a way to recover saves? I mostly play on mobile, and when I exit to go to a different app and come back, the game is frozen....usually I exit and come back...now my save is gone 😩 please help

Had a very fun time trying out new synergies, this is the furthest I have gotten so far ha ha.

Summary of the build:
For each bow attack, deal 90 damage, gain 3 extra damage, heal 3 hp, deal 1 poison. For each turn, bow attack 7 times and gain 12 extra damage. Also 1 free dodge per battle.



Details:
2 ethereal energy from the ethereal wand + windmill + energy token = +7 energy/turn
Glass bottle + ring of doom (15 mana) = 36 dmg x2
Gemstone heart = (+1 hp)x3 / energy
Frog totem & ring of doom (3 mana) = (+6 accumulated dmg)x2 / turn
Stopwatch = (+1 accumulated dmg)x3 / energy

So far loving this build, on level 13 and don't see it slowing down anytime soon with the damage doubling from mouse wood

Whenever I press "save", it says "save failed" - I'm connected to the internet, and I've only got three saves (from an hour ago). I don't want to lose my stuff! Is there a way to save otherwise?

Try clearing your cache/cookies. We think the problem is there. When we move to local builds that should fix the problem. Next update has more save protection too.

How are you supposed to get past fire geckos? They hit at least 20 each, give you at least 15 fire damage per turn, and then you either discard items due to curses or take additional damage. Fire damage imo should be blockable, and then the remainder would be put as a DoT. Also would be better if you could activate the curse effect immediately, as there is not a good counter that I found.

Im just gonna ask is this game probably be free on steam?

A bug from the cursed whetstone killed me. I could not deactivate it. Also saves failed in this run.

Just wanted to say that I love this game (even though I'm trash at it) and I can't wait to see it get as big as it deserves when you release the final version :D

I've had a number of fun games, and just won my first game yesterday. I think the combination of Archangel Armor and Ninja Costume is bugged, though. It gets worse (better for me! worse for game balance) every round by adding ever increasing amounts of armor. It must have something to do with haste gain + the free dodge from Ninja armor. In the final boss fight I received more than 2000 armor at the end of my last round. In my game stats I have more than 65,000 armor gained and just over 2000 armor lost in total. If I shield up initially and wait for my natural armor gain to take over, I don't have to worry about anything other than curses. The armor I gain during my attack turn is reasonable (still scales, but as you'd expect), but at the start of the enemy attack round I magically gain tens, then hundreds, then thousands of extra armor as the rounds continue.
