This is the first build that went "infinite" for me, which really just means I could repeatedly beat all enemies I came across though it did require a lot of patience on my end. Smack them with a spiked club enough times to get the machetes and shivs to ridiculous amounts. Wipe the foes out, using coal to refresh the big sweeps as necessary. Never really needed the shields in the end but then again, didn't find anything else I wanted more.
My usual issue is poison. This build dealt with it by never giving enemies a turn to do anything much less poison me.
you know if you if you have the rage necklace you will have 1 damage to you done each turn to trigger the hoodies so you don't have to worry about taking damage from enemies then you will be a god until release I mean not like the rage itself is going to help but just the point of taking damage at the start of the turn would be helpful enough. also you could try and get a poison whetstone to deal poison to enemies quicker but hell if you're really doing a berserker poison build you really don't need the hp you could skip on all health upgrades get to floor 1000 and have the "threat" of being oneshot XD
The berserker club actually still did 1 point of damage to me per swing and then healed me 2 with the two gems, so I never needed to let the enemies deal me any damage. Never risked giving them a turn. Honestly, by the end, I didn't need the hoodies, nor the shields. They were just there for fun.
I call it the drunken curse build. It got me through the grandmaster in the first turn since I had 60 gold and kept getting cool and frothy drinks from the keg. Though it gets really hard past level 10. At what I have right now the cursed sword only does 60ish damage per swing and the whetstone doesn't help too much. But it is still pretty fun to play with and it's pretty unique as well. It's not the most powerful but I would give it a shot.
first win with a few resets at King to reorganize. just had to be careful about not attacking to many times. I basically reorganized every round to bring the letter back down and reposition the firefly's. Super fun game! looking forward to Steam Release.
I suspect that crossbow has better rage scaling than cleaver, since each arrow gives 4x rage for 2 slots. Also something like Ninja's Armor (1 dodge every turn) is worth wearing despite the cleaver damage loss.
Put the King cleavers on opposite sides of the tape, then put the queens in all the corners except the top right, leave that space empty.
Rearranging your energy tokens can gain you a bit more inventory space. Put one in the top right, one in the bottom right, and one in the middle row 3rd from the right. The idea is to overlap the spaces that can't have items. Once you get a second Tape that middle one will get in the way but by then you can probably be fine with one less energy.
You can ditch the basic cleavers, they don't really do much at this point. You can also ditch the pearl, the red whetstone and the spikes relic. Fill all the empty space you can spare with lucky rings.
You may want to remove one of the jack cleavers and move the heart gem next to the tape. You'll lose a bunch of damage but the healing might be worth it. Or just only swap it in when you need it. Vampire gem is better if you can find it since losing a corner queen is much less lost damage than losing a space next to the tape.
Keep an eye out for emerald bracelets, a 2x2 grid of those and honey curses from lil bees will allow you to get rid of the tokens and the windmill altogether. 7 energy turn 1 is plenty, though keeping the windmill as insurance is fine too.
I beat the game by taking the Nunchakus early and just building my collection of items around it. By the time I got to the final boss, it was doing 70 damage and 1 vampirism per swing.
I really wanna download this demo so I don't have to have an active internet connection to play, but if I had that I'd lose the ability to savescum by pressing F5. xD
you can't have separate saves but would be nice to eventually have when the steam version is realeased but you should just hit continue game to play what you have previously played
One time I got the ninja outfit and I had a few armor multipliers plus I had another piece of armor so instead of taking all my armor the ninja armor would double my armor then triple it, then you get it.
I've been up for 2 hours playing it and at this point i have to take a break. This is highly addictive! So far absolutely in love with the build variations you can do.
The design of scratch as far as I can tell is it is a low cost low damage alternative to high damage seeing as those things proc effects and scratch doesn't.
Will there be any lore for this game? There's already references to "Orderia" and "The Patrol", and one event is obviously an AI or a robot. A few items are modern items that animals couldn't make(like Stopwatch, Red Hoodie and Explosive Arrow) so will there be an explanation for these?
I just tried an assassins dagger run, but I never got any of the shields that use adjacent shields. Snakes killed me during infinite. This was my build. The shield had two haste from the forge, and the dagger had one rage. The shield gives adjacent weapons plus one damage on use, so that cancels out shield spirit. The two haste gives me practically indefinite block, due to all the structures I have. I really wish I got some of those special shields.
Glitch: When I kill an enemy with the damaged knife (the 3 use 8dmg thing) it does not trigger the Tooth Necklace (when a weapon kills an enemy add 6 rage. on your turn deals 1 dmg to you). I checked and the knife is a weapon and not an accessory

Good game, but really needs a shift+click = perform an action 5 times hotkey.

Cleaver runs are still great and powerful, except they are RNG dependent. But now. Is this a bit too far?

settings > quit game (at the top right of the settings menu) > continue game

Bug: Duct tape blocks bows' effect from arrows behind it, even though bow specifically says only affect arrows
Edit: Also scratch doesn't count as damage for some reason I tested it against the rooster
