I am very happy, my first infinate run went well. I'm happy.

any ideas on how i could've made this build stronger?

get a wand (the silver one if possible) and maybe if you got the bunch of knifes relicit would still work wonders

when your build is that lame that works (poison is very harcordly good)

i know right. i love me some poison ivy...helped me up to floor 21 a few time

"Activate Windows" is the most OP part of your build. =D
You know you can delete that in the Registry, right?

Just passed floor 150, no signs of stopping.




I do have some bug reports, though.
First, the Assassin Dagger's kill counter starts behaving oddly once you get it high enough.  Past 1000 kills, it starts counting by 10s (the damage bonus still only goes up by 1, though).  For example, at 1121 kills it will say you have 2210 kills and a damage bonus of 1121.
Second, there seems to be a bug with Hercule Pavise activating multiple shields at a time.  Some of the activations will be double-counted for negative effects (enemies gaining rage on shield use, damage penalty from Shield Spirit) but positive effects (attacks triggered by Shield Spirit, gaining block, etc.) only happen once per shield.  In the setup shown above I get 10 shield activations, but 17 triggers of negative effects.
Third, although on-damage effects were fixed to only trigger upon taking damage, the fix only applies to the player - enemies with on-damage effects still trigger the effects if they take no damage from an attack.  In particular, the Elder Mage's +1 dodge when taking damage still triggers when avoiding damage by dodging, meaning that only the first attack of each turn can do damage (and what's worse, if you have a weapon with a small amount of vampirism attached to it, the vampirism will trigger the dodge effect, preventing the weapon from ever dealing its normal damage).

1.- That's funny but ya, that's something that should be fixed.
2.- I don't think that's a bug, enemies who get rage per shield activation will, well, do exactly that (take is as a downside of spamming shields), now, it makes sense that every shield only get to use positive effects once per turn, otherwise you could get a ridiculous amount of haste, given you have 1 haste per shield, or in the case of cleavers (rage), they would be WAY stronger than they already are.
3.- It makes sense that you can only kill the Elder Mage in one turn if it's a literal one shot because it is a very fragile boss, and it's supposed to be a boss, not an enemy with slightly more HP. But i agree on the fact that vampirism shouldn't trigger the dodge effect with that boss, i have never been in that situation but hitting the boss for the 1, 2, 3 vampirism damage for it to dodge your BIG damage sounds horrible.

2 and 3 are both definitely problems, and for the same reason; it's important that when the same language is used for different effects they work the same way.  The two effects on the Shield Spirit both use the same language to describe when they activate, therefore they need to both activate under the same conditions.  If the player had an item with the same text as the Elder Mage's ability, it would cause them to dodge every second damage source in a turn, not all but the first; therefore the Elder Mage's ability should work that way too.  Consistent use of language in effect descriptions is vital to a game like this.


The issue with vampirism counting as a separate damage source isn't technically a bug, it just causes problematic interactions due to ordering (and changing the order in which the damage sources trigger doesn't solve it, it just changes which specific situations have problematic interactions).  If it were me, I would change vampirism X from "deals X damage and heals for unblocked damage dealt" to "this item heals for unblocked damage dealt up to a maximum of X" and give most or all of the items with vampirism X an additional +X damage bonus (that would keep the total damage and potential healing the same, but unifies the damage into a single damage source - technically a small buff, but much more consistent in its behavior).

This archer's wand build is incredibly fun and powerful! Next to zero lag considering it's primarily mana, and I only failed because I ran out of mana. 350+ damage per energy and it worked as early as floor 4, doing like 120+ damage per energy cause of that sexy bomb relic


i should go endless with this build and just make it broken, but i'm just lazy XD

The ultimate achievement is getting pickaxe and filling up your whole bag with gems, dealing 1000 damage in one turn!!

Can't think of a better pickaxe setup other than some gem improvements. Can't wait to start endless with this setup!

I died because of a curse and the game broke. I was not able to take damage, I could still scratch tho. When I reorganized, I just died.

How is feather cap a legendary? For anyone who doesn't know what it does, +2 block each turn per space underneath.

The elder mage is so unfun,please remove him or make him attack you atleast .. NoT ranged attack tho that would be the nail in the coffin!

estava usando a builde de espinhos junto com a lança vanpirismo como a imagen mostra , estava usando a comida que da 5+hp que buffa a agua que adiciona 4+ energia assim fazendo o combo 4+Stamina = 20+HP tendo no meu slote uns 3 ou 4 para poder enfrentar os bosses e tb tendo a poção de remover debuf assim o efeito do vanpirismo sendo cancelado ja que nao iria matar o inimigo, bom Jogo espero poder comprar assim que lançar


 

The 1000dmg Wand that killed the 27th floor's boss with 35000 hp! It could go more if i had more vampirism, that energy staff, curse ring or curse crown... Also, the cleasing wand doesnt not work properly! 

It would be cool if there was a way to counteract Poison without taking damage at the start of the next turn. Maybe a potion or item that immediately dispels Poison once it's applied, sort of like Dodge but for poison. 

It has, the cleaning hag helps with low quantities and the self-status potion eliminates it completely.

You still take damage by poison right before your turn starts and you can drink the self-status potion. It's unavoidable and a big crutch on endless runs where a single poison tick can take away all your health without you having the chance to remove it.

Misclicked on the king and toasted myself on spikes. good run though it was a pretty harsh stalemate. I couldn't do enough damage to pass up his regen.

I was playing a wand build and my computer would lag when i used a rod. It would be nice if I could turn off particles.

Never attacking the Frogs again, spent 5 min widdling his hp down. Had 5k spikes at the end.

I missplayed but  it was a good run, I only went up to floor 20, and most importantly I built a castle with the pickaxe


Floor 69, and still going strong.

On floor 71 I finally got a second rage forge on the dagger. My scaling rate is still linear, but is much steeper now.

how this work? looks like it has nothing really strong other than block, but how do you manage curses and stuff

I am guessing he tanks curses and heals with food or throws away some food, Assassin's Dagger has infinite scaling and he can get defense while damaging his opponents, probably has rage, haste or both. I don't think enemies survive long enough to poison him.

Duct tapes are quite op, from spreading buffs to adding more arrows.

why do you think it got nerfed as much as it did? it is just as godlike as it is in real life, somehow fixing and improving almost everything

if slime sword exist would be too much to ask for, slime daggers or another slime items? XD to make more use of the bomb relic

another thing, should teddy bear sword and pacifist ring really synergize? in think teddy should be a weapon, but because he isnt whe can have a +1 energy with + 2 extra atk, having both itens

i went until floor 27, with a shield build, but i could have gone futher i was just lazy because the battles lasted so long

Is the cleansing wand broken, or does it just not remove spikes or rage? I was holding onto that thing for the spikes guys, and it let me down. ={

Robot toy kills you on spikes, thanks game. Glad the item is entirely useless because the only way to disable it is to reorganize and trash it

Btw in the steam version will it be easy to make back up saves? I've ran into a few problems with my save file getting corrupted.

Gold Cleaver got +3 rage from forging +12 rage each turn thanks to windmills +1 energy floor 18 addition was the spikes for +3 damage for each adjacent weapon used from 145+ damge on 1 energy to 250+ damage and rage ramp just crazy

candle from 21 floor boss,should i continue the run feels unkillable but damage scale gonna pass the armor per turn i get.

all in all love the game and the builds still havent managed to build a haste/endless armor or a successful mage :(

This is the most active comment section I've ever seen. I- I don't even think that youtube has such an active and wholesome comment section. either way, What's the highest you've gotten to? what was your loadout/best item? (if you can remember..) Genuinely curious about what the "best" loadout would be aswell, Any synergies I should know about?

Hourglass + Berserker's Club has to be one of the best combos, as it allows you to essentially use Berserker's Club infinitly often without any downsides. That paired with poison on the club and maybe Cleansing Flame to counter spikes can kill pretty much everything.
