Love the game. Don't really know where to report bugs so I'll leave it here.
Chose the spike upgrade on the blacksmith for my mirror shield thinking that it would add +1 spike on usage to myself but as it turns out it actually downgraded my shield from -2 spike removal on foes to a -1spike removal.
I think the other options are the Old Log (which I didn't get a proper chance to use yet, 2x1 creates a herb) and the Cauldron (2x2, heavy, creates one random potion, one use per battle)
Edit: but they still cost energy so maybe I didn't help :/ I don't remember seeing anything apart from them, though. Would the Pickaxe count?
If you have a 1 use per turn 0 cost item producing item, you could break the game using a philosopher's stone, two coals and three of that item, so that's why I wanted to know.
Don't have an option to start from Matthew despite beating the final boss a couple times. Weird b/c I had the option many times before ever making an account.
Great game stacking fury i could beat any enemy before he can atack me but then some gekos burned me to death, this game need new ways to counter negative status
You can't attack enough times with rag to counter poison. If you have more poison that your max hp you're basically dead. Poison should be nerfed. Though I agree with the other things.
great game...spent something like 40hours in it...but, nerf poison and fire pls, or put better mechanics to play against...made the ultimate counter everything build and lost in a place that was or 3 firegekos or this fight...and if the bag could be just one collum bigger...oh boy...=)

gemstone heart and the candle are lifesavers since doing 101 attacks last time I checked.
started off as a poison arrow build until floor 12 when I finally got the candle and was able to build full cleaver. Minor bugs that seem to happen are that the Hercule Pavise doesn't like to transfer the adjacent weapons are used through the duct tape and I nearly died on floor 20ish when I replaced a 2x2 shield that adds +1 to dmg to adjacent weapons on use for additional duct tape and cleavers. Haven't been brave enough to move it since. 1st chef hat was on about floor 40 and I've been debating about throwing away the gold for food to trade away at the chef ? event for a cleaver rather then searching shops and raising hp. currently each attack can take about a minute to complete to resolve all the effects. I've also found that its a good idea to swap the duct tape around after loading a save or when adding a new one just to make sure that they get properly used else they sometimes will not properly duplicate the effect to adjacent spots.
TL:DR I'm loving the duct tape with cleaver builds and quite enjoying the game
Combo Cursed Wetstone + Assasin's Blade = insade damage. Ethereal wand gives extra energy, to use to dispose of Curses, and spawn in Herbs for healing.
Intermediary build. Currently I can deal with everything quite easily by just spamming pickaxe. If need be, I can use my shield which gives 23 block due to 4x forge. Still looking for the legendary whetstone to buff up the pickaxe some more, which is why I have the piggybank, gold, rose and band
Just frigging delete everyone on the first turn, aight?
What a fun, wonderful, absolutely adorable game! It hasn't seemed very hard to me at all, but it might be due to sampling bias. A joy to play nonetheless!
Cleaver + arch angel made me defeat the boss for the first time. You lose your first turn to absorb the incoming damage but it lets you stack up quickly. Follow it by the barage of cleavers!
Can someone explain the hype around Berserker club? I get that it costs 0, but without some insane luck with the healing whetstones, i cant see how to make it work.
Buffing the damage also buffs the self-hurt... Idk!
Just don't buff damage and go for rage/ poison instead. I currently have 2 healing whetstones and use it as a tool to fully heal my 100s of hp. Self-hurt also works with items that activate when hurt. A ton of synergy options
You should probably switch the shiv next to the cleansing rag to the space under the mirror shield and move the cleansing rag down one space. Also, the conductor isn't doing anything useful as far as I can tell.
My Best run so far, reaching floor 15 and doing 2k damage in a single burst turn. However no sustainable way to replenish my mana and ended up dying to the boss..
Hey so I don't know if this is a bug or intended feature or unintended future but when the bat attacks you and you have dodge you don't take damage but he just heals
I believe vampyrism works like other status ailments such as poison, where even if dodged the status is still applied causing them to heal for the damage they should've done.
I find this incredibly fun, and also frustrating. I feel like I had a pretty good build, and then I run into 1 enemy that does 15+ poison damage to me every other turn, which seems a bit OP, especially when the opponent has 900+ health. Since only 1 poison falls off each turn, the 2nd time they poison me, I'm at nearly 30 poison damage per turn. This is on endless though, which is supposed to be hard. But it's a little too hard imo, I don't see a way to beat that 1 mob (that's not even a boss), unless I'm carrying around a bunch of status cleanse items, but if I were, I still wouldn't kill it because I wouldn't be doing enough damage. Well, time for a new run! Can't wait for this game to be completely finished!
Berserker's club is great for healing, but I got unlucky with relics and smiths, 1 smith so far for haste. It's taking forever to progress. I just need a weaponsmith. I've also been looking for the item that gives haste when you take damage, no luck so far.

I know keg exists but that costs gold.

nope. and there likely wont be, a 0 cost item producing item could honestly be like cleaver type breaking stuff, even if it's a 1 use per turn thing
imagine you have 3-4 spices, ~150 max hp, and a 0 cost 1 use per turn item that produces something like a consumable...
it'd be pretty difficult to die in that scenario, before the tougher endless floors anyway

if you press m on the loading screen it should take you to Mathew if it doesn't show the option normally

burn can be countered by shield
poison by self healing and that rag thing which is way underpowered compared to the snakes
curses are just instant damage, which can be dealt with by self healing
and stuff like weak, slow, etc can just be countered by waiting or not giving a frick
tho spikes are busted and the only way to stop them are shield which sucks and archery which was massively nerfed

After the latest patch, bug where I can't get past the tutorial. Beat the game twice, but I'm still not seeing Matthew.

Great item setup when you get deeper into the game. Arrows+stopwatch dmg output is pretty filthy, would have liked more bomb arrows.
Could use more ways to mitigate poison. I basically ran into vamp? Giving you 20-30poison per turn.
End up with hybrid mage build where mana used only defensively. Who needs wands anyway?

+91.5k for each next one
9 energy first turn
All of it gives in total 3.7m damage first turn. With no spikes and heal up to 120 hp with vampirism for every attack.
I belive i could play forever.

Yeah I have had this issue too, I found saving, completely closing all browsers (or restarting PC) fixed it for me on the reload.

turns out spamming your shield and doing 102 damage for 1 energy is kinda op

no idea. But i think the OP was using it with Pearl to make duct tape have +atk and then pass on the +atk to 4 weapons around it.

One of the funniest. Just stacking infinite armor + spikes.

And 95 damage for 0 energy.
Really nice Build until I encounter Double Bat. Until this Point i could handle one Bat without Problems, but two are to poisonous xD

Make it download able for windows and also make it 32bit ( if possible )
You can download the itch app launcher, which launches the game in its own engine. Runs much smoother than in a browser!
So I was resetting on floor 16 to get a 10th energy and now my save file is corrupted. Is there any way to fix this?
