After getting stuck in the enchanted swamp i reloaded and found myself in test dungeon with a whopping 20 attack test sword. I am now unable to access the normal game unless i clear the data from the browser.
Did I do something wrong? I pushed "C" button on my keyboard (tried to get a hold of controls) a couple of times and got a ton of items. Including this wonder (picture). Looks like it's not the way this game is meant to be played?
Saving looks like it doesn’t work. I had been pressing the save game button occasionally. I just refreshed the page and it seems to have gone back to the new game title screen with no option to load.
Love the new content, a whole new Biome/Floor :) Found a Bug (or 2) though... Enemies that Gain stacks of <something> When Attacked, are also gaining the same stacks when Attacking. The Lizard axe-guy is applying +1 spikes on each attack, for example. Seems even more bugged on the new "Apply +3 Block To All" enemy in the swamp, as the Applying Block also seems to count as an attack: I had a fight with 4 of them and they ended each turn with 48 block each! (+3, x4 enemies attacking, x4 enemies gaining block). Managed to survive it though.
I see everyday new new items and mechanics in my runs (and like I kinda do 5 to 10 run a day T-T) It's realy great seeing new stuff everyday and all! :D
Beat the final boss without taking any relics, because they didn't help the build. Maybe a bug report?: The cursed whetstone consumed all my energy, activating multiple times.
1. impressive! 2. The cursed whetstone is still selected. It's just hard to tell because it is red. Click it again to deselect. We need to make it more noticeable that it is selected.
I'm experiencing the same in the new swamp. Very reproducible too, every time the front enemy dies to my spikes. Might just be from spikes, might be from any effect killing the front enemy outside of your turn, but after the game seems to be trying and failing to target the enemy at the front without moving on. guess be careful playing with spikes in the new area until it's fixed
A basic poison arrow build where I can easily stack to hundreds of poison damage and deal tons of damage with rage. I died to the burn stack from the boss that can summon fire lizards in endless but did managed to kill him right afterward. Curse is not at all a problem with the bracelet and seasoning heal. I could have dealt a bit more poison if I can find a 4th poison arrow, probably should remove one seasoning for more space. Would love to see someone make a perfect poison arrow build with better equipments.
Encountered what might be a bug. For some reason, my game started lagging really badly the moment I got this ring of doom. The framerate standing still is pretty alright, but it seems like using anything connected to the mana network causes a lag spike.
I think it's only.. sort of a bug? Ran into the same thing but I was able to cancel it. Forgot how tho. The curse whetstone's activation goes into a kind of... chain usage. Whether that is intended or not, the best user experience would result in a single usage happening and returning the user to a state where nothing is being used/selected.
At the start of rounds I would first move the wheel forward so that it would give the letter space to move up meaning my halberd could get both wheel and letter damage.
Best run so far! Died to that enemy that adds spikes every attack and hard-counters my build with nothing I can really do about it.
I really hope the Kickstarter does well, all the stretch goals sound so nice that it'd be really upsetting to have to know "what could have been" while playing the full game. :(
On that note, are there any plans to add stuff that didn't make it in via stretch goals through other means, like followup kickstarters or DLC?
I'd love a way to refuse or undo level ups. I had the earth sword (the heavy one that deals extra damage for being high up), and I had it resting on an empty slot at the top of my backpack. I got the final levelup just before the last boss, and it made the sword drop to the bottom of my backpack and deal almost 0 damage. Before, it was dealing something like 42. I lost to the final boss because I leveled up, which doesn't seem intended.
I had very satisfying 10 turn battle, where I almost died. Then I met 2 fire Geckos and died instantly. For me backpack hero is the successor of Diablo were I also spend most my time analysing the loot : P
I steamrolled through most of the game with some lucky early drops on my first run, but then the final boss destroyed me. Only managed to get it under half health, but I have no idea how you're supposed to survive when doing anything causes you damage. The challenge up to that point had been pretty satisfying but in no way prepared me for the massive difficulty spike at the end.

Not sure if this got reported yet or not as what I can only assume is a bug.
Apparently when I visited a armor smith and choose to add a spike to my shield it made it so I would remove less spikes.
What do Spikes do?
when an enemy hits you it takes damage
The Speaker boss very easily softlocks the game, if it summons 3 cultists
None of them deal damage so you cant escape.
All they do is add slow and weak, which means that you cant do any damage.
and even if you do somehow manage to take one out, the boss just summons it back.
it really sucks because the swamp is an amazing area, but getting to the boss pretty much just ends your game.

Saving works in our tests, but some browsers are giving us trouble. Maybe try a different one? Should go away once we move to local builds!

It's also happened to me a few times, I think it mostly appears in the new areas. The old areas don't really seem to have it.

Final boss, GrandMaster! took a while to get a build this good.
Tried archery for the first time and got a new best run! Was fun being able to do 3462 damage each turn!
This build deals over 170 damage a turn. Belt of Knives is insanely strong.
Great game. A bow build is the easiest for now.

a good combo here with ring of doom, shiv axe combo, but man those badgers kick some butt.

it's a known bug w/ conductive items. The amount of interactions between them causes the game to stutter.
Having a good Pickaxe run, but discovered a small bug. If the +2 vamp damage I have here is literally the killing blow, it gives me 2 gems. xD
It gets pretty tough in endless mode, but I enjoyed it till my last move!
Played for an hour or so. A fresh concept that many people will be interested in. Fits into the Loop Hero vibe category - buy, play a bit, remember.

You should have tossed the wheel probably, and gone vertical with the letter and halberd since each time it moves it adds +6?

Holy shit, the kickstarter exploded!! I don't really have money to pledge, but I'm glad to have watched the game grow since day 1.

i think i broke the game mage is very strong i can attack 26 times on first turn and 10 times every turn after that really enjoyed the game tho
