It's called like the donku or something? It gains tons of damage the more turns it's been (I think like 14 damage after every turn for the combat of course) increasing its percent damage is way better than straight damage for it.
No clue how in the world I survived so long without having an actual strategy. I was just blocking and gaining spikes while dealing tiny bits of chip damage in between.
That wooden sword was the one from the start. At some point, I decided I'd just keep it there since I wasn't getting any better weapons somehow. Also, I realize that I only needed one manastone but I kept the other in case I found another good mana weapon. As you might be able to see, that didn't happen. And I was supposed to sell the duct tape but forgot to when the chance arrived.
I finished a run with a jagged blade buffed up to 30dmg each swing. Truly beautiful :D
Found a "bug" tho: If you save the game and reload, your HP get reset. I had 68HP - saved (to go to kickstarter and back this gem of a game), came back and pressed continue: Every item is there but not my HP
Sad... Hope this will be fixed in the Steam release
27 floor. Maybe my max is 32-33 where 2 stack of poison hit more then all my HP but too lazy to go further. 1 cleek on the shield activates everyting including cleavers but had to split to countre the king. (blacksmith gave 2 dex to shild, rage from mana)
What a fun run!
I got the earth sword early - thats why I built up the blocks, the block conducter item was helpful for space management. The Ring of Doom was the actual game changer tho. Per mana all my weapons gained 2 dmg. Happy counting! My 0 energy items dealt around 60 dmg. Simple, yet brilliant game
i started with 2 jack cleavers from matthew so i did my best as a raging chef, base game i was given some cleavers so it was kinda easy was able to 2 shot king and 1 shot everything before him (died to poison + curse floor 16)im loving the game so far and this was my fav build ive done
I love the new Robot Toy item! I think I found a little bug, though. The toy doesn't count connected manastones IF they are connected through bricks that were made conductive with the Manastone brick. Hovering over the toy does highlight the affected manastones as if they are connected, but the damage only accounts for manastones connected directly.
Hey, i saw someone who asked if a nuchunk run had been done, and nobody answered, so i did it.
Notes: The build was full DPS, so i took dodge as a defence as it takes a small amount of space and i can usually kill one or two enemies in 1 turn and dodge the attack on the last one. Faced grandmaster, dodge potion was my saving grace to take the fire damage which would have killed me. (i never used the double coal, i was waiting for the rogue's mask which never came)
I think I figured out a bandage fix for the bug where the game gets bogged down by having too much Mana. It doesn't fix the core issue, but it helps.
Make Mana-related items always useable, but, when they are used, do a check for surrounding Mana, and if it has none, give a 0x multiplier to its effect. It doesn't help the fact that the algorithm is extremely processing-intensive, but it makes sure that the game only actually does the check when necessary, whereas right now it does it constantly.
Yet again, the only way I find to beat a game is using my drinking problem ( using all my money on beer is way to close to reality, I have to pause the game a bit ).
Why is the Crooked Arrow the worst arrow, yet the best rarity? It takes up 3 spaces, only awards the same damage as the normal arrow, and a lower bonus damage. I can't for the life of me figure out a situation where it has any use.
the reason is that if you place it correctly there could be more open spaces giving it better potential damage, like you can place it in a corner with nothing else in the row and it gets more overall damage.
Make sure it isn't on an incognito tab, and cookies are being saved. Also, the game just updated, and that wipes save data to avoid conflicting versions of items.
My inventory seems to be bugged. Only the first arrow that I place down with Archer's Wand is able to be fired, the other one is becoming 'disabled' for some reason. I have tried setting up the bottom one first, and (on a different encounter) the top one first. Either way that I do it one of them becomes disabled but the other one doesn't. I imagine the Barbell item is bugged somehow.
Sidenote: Bombstone + Archer's Wand + any 3x1 bow is SO good. The only thing its struggling with is encounters with 4 mobs at once, and I was able to somewhat fix that with the Ninja Costume to give me 1 free dodge each turn.
Edit: I figured out the culprit of the bug. Its actually the duct tape. Swapping its position with the Coins seems to have resolved the issue. My guess is that that Duct Tape is treating any tile around it as a tile with an item in it, even if that isn't the case. And due to that effect it interacts with the Barbell in a really nasty way.
On my 6th(?) try, I made it through the base game, and I'm currently working on endless mode. Lots and lots of block is super helpful against fire and poison, and stuff can get ridiculous when you're stacking modifiers. (Also I probably wouldn't have made it without the Doru [the spear on the left] - base damage of 1, but +14 at the end of every round.)

Cool pickaxe+Spikes build. floor 16 Poison stack from the snake killed the run unfortunately.
Poison is the bane of my existenece in this game
clean up some of the art, and this game is good enough to be sold. i love this game
had great run duno how i died
what is the spear thing

yeah i found out and it's called the doru
pretty good imo

a run with tons of damage and tons of mana, was almost pure damage build died on the 13th floor.
view of the full build before curses defeated the run
Died on floor 9.
Starts at ~1200 dmg and climbs about 200 dmg per turn. was fun.

What's the tasty fly
Click it at the merchant when there is something you want but can't afford. It will make all the items discount.
ah, thank you
idk but you can give it to the merchant and i think he gives discounts but don't quote me
Most magnificent house I've built yet.
man...that "on taking damage" change was a pretty big nerf to to some things...oh well, time to adapt
It used to be like this
oi
Just waiting for poison to kill me.
Pretty sweet. Later found another Hercule for 28 block per energy. Cause of death: clicked the lil' buckler instead of Hercule.
Next run had the sword and 2 emerald bracelets. 13 energy first turn. Run died when I ran into the first thing I couldn't otk.
Idk if anyone asked but is there a reason I have to do the tutorial every time I retry?
Hit M at the start screen.
How to beat the king in one turn haha !
This nunchuk build is insane ! To be fair I fully used two water flask on him :p
Not sure if it's a good build, but I beat the boss with some struggle (am in endless now, but the important stuff is the same)
seems legit to me...some rage and haste for endless mode and you're set

The left most dagger was doing over 100dmg per throw thanks to the white whetstone (which wasn't optimally placed) at the final boss.
This is a great game but every good run I had so far got anihilated by poison
i started with 2 jack cleavers from matthew so i did my best as a raging chef, base game i was given some cleavers so it was kinda easy was able to 2 shot king and 1 shot everything before him (died to poison + curse floor 16)im loving the game so far and this was my fav build ive done
Nice One :)

I died at floor 13 tho
In my opinion. great setup for dmg pickaxe.

it was a trip to reach here, wonderful and simple game

This game is awesome btw !

It's only going to get more damage than the short arrow...but takes up 3x as many slots. One gem or forge and it's not competitive at all.
this was an interesting run.
never got any good upgrades. had to improvise on what i got. cant wait for you guys to be out on steam.
will this be coming out on mobile if so thank you
What a beautiful and funny Run with DORU <3 and shields
Too Bad i did not calculated accurate with spikes :(
wowowowwo!!!! steam is coming
If I refresh the page, I can never continue my game even though it's saved. What's the fix for that?

How do you get matthew's blessing?
i think you need to lose 5 times in a game
Press M in the Mainmenu - this works for me :)
Cursed Whetstone is bugged, you cannot stop using it until you've run out of energy
You have to re-click the Whetstone again after applying it

For sum reason i lost all of my progress even though i saved
at the start it always told me "save failed", idk if you have that problem as well... it's fixed now idk how
